A GLIMPSE OF HEAVEN

Amidst a dark and stormy sky

God’s light shown through 

and caught my eye

I saw a glimpse of heaven that day

When all had seemed to go astray

My life was suddenly placed on hold

While I listened to the truth He told

He sent His Son to pay the cost

So I no longer would be lost

I opened up and felt His grace

As tears of joy ran down my face

He cleansed my sins and made me free

He opened my eyes and made me see

He stilled the chaos inside my soul

And filled my thoughts and made me whole

I bowed before His awesome might

Not one thing wrong, but all was right

He said repent from my sinful way

For indeed He will return on judgment day
